VINCE NEIL Raises Over $100,000 For TJ MARTELL FOUNDATION

May 13, 2004

The 2004 Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament raised more than $100,000 for the T.J. Martell Foundation in memory of ex-MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil's late daughter, Skylar.

The event (photos),which took place Thursday (May 6) at the Malibu Country Club in Universal City, CA., featured personal appearances by Neil as well as The Hawaiian Tropic Girls and the Hooters Girls. Fans can still participate by donating to ZRock Crue for the Cure's online rock-a-thon (www.zrock.com) through the end of June. Everyone who donates any amount is eligible to win a guitar signed by Vince Neil, premium tickets to see Vince Neil live in concert, and Ozzfest 2004 tickets. The drawing will be held in Los Angeles on July 1, 2004. One hundred percent of all donations will directly benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation.

Vince Neil officially confirmed the 2005 MÖTLEY CRÜE Reunion/Farewell Tour in a live interview on May 5 with L.A.'s XTRA Sports Talk 690 to promote the Golf Tournament and ZRock Crue for the Cure's online rock-a-thon. "MÖTLEY CRÜE confirmed sixty dates for next year for our new tour with all the original members," Neil said. "It's basically our farewell/reunited tour."

In 1995, Vince Neil lost his four-year-old daughter Skylar to stomach cancer. The Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation has donated nearly $1 million to various charity organizations for leukemia, cancer and AIDS research. The T.J. Martell Foundation was founded in 1975 by music industry executive Tony Martell and his colleagues in memory of his son, T.J., a victim of leukemia. To date, the Foundation has raised more than $175 million to fund research into innovative cures and treatments of leukemia, cancer and AIDS at nine research facilities throughout the United States.
